How I Quickly Made Extra Income With Poshmark

I was on a serious side hustle search for some extra income when I stumbled across Poshmark. Actually, I had heard of Poshmark before and even signed up back in 2015. I think I just looked around for a minute and then forgot about it honestly. Fast forward to 2018, I had quit my office job, ran out of savings, and didn’t have a need for about 80% of the clothes or shoes in my closet anymore, so I decided to give Poshmark it a try.

To my surprise, things started to take off pretty quickly. I made my first sale before I had even purchased packaging materials! I quickly gained over 10K followers, sold more clothing items, got listed as a Top-Rated Seller, and reached Poshmark Ambassador Status! #whoa

Start by finding items in your closet or drawers that you just don't wear anymore. Make piles of similar items so that it’s easy to sort through and quicker to create your listings.

Tip: I recommend using sticky notes to go ahead and price your items before you begin listing. Not only did I price my items, but I also looked up how much each article of clothing was if it were brand new and about how many times I wore each item or the condition of the item.

Take a photos of each item. You can list up to 8 photos take multiple photos including the tags or brand of the item if possible. It’s important to have clear photos that show the items true color and condition. Photos are important since it’s what the buyers base their purchase on. You don’t want to have messy wrinkled clothes listed if you want them to sell quickly or be seen as a top seller. Once you have your images, give your item a title, description, and price. It’s important to share your items daily in order to increase your chances of sales.

Tip: I recommend removing lint with a roller, getting a fabric defuzzer, and/or a steamer to get the wrinkles out.
